HEART

And his lord was wroth and delivered him to the

tormenters, till he should pay all that was due him.

So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you,

if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother

Meditation:

What unforgiveness is tormenting me today?

Affirmation:

With God's help I can forgive all those who have harmed me.

Prayer:

Thank you, God for working forgiveness into my heart.

HEART

For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts,

murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts,

false witness, blasphemies: These are the things

which defile a man...

Matthew 15:19

Meditation:

Let me question the common admonition to follow my heart: can my heart always be

trusted?

Affirmation:

The heart of Jesus is my hope for purity.

Prayer:

Today I confess any evil thoughts that occur. I confess them immediately to you,

God, my help, my salvation, and my hope.

MIND

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new

earth: and the former shall not be

remembered, nor come into mind.

Isaiah 65:17

Meditation:

Do I look forward to the transformation of my current reality?

Affirmation:

I am an open witness to God's recreation of all that is.

Prayer:

Lord God, Creator of my mind, may I have the courage to open daily to the

beauty of your Creation.

HEART

He hath made everything beautiful in his time:

also he hath set the world in their heart, so that

no man can find out the work that God maketh from the

beginning to the end.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

Meditation:

Am I accepting that God's work from the beginning to the end is hidden

from me?

Affirmation:

The world is in my heart according to God's will.

Prayer:

Creator God, you are marvelous and powerful to create everything

beautiful in Time, from the beginning to the end.

MIND

A fool uttereth all his mind:

but a wise man keepeth it in till afterward.

Proverbs 29:11

Meditation:

Do I think it is a virtue to "speak my mind?"

Affirmation:

Today I am able to wait on the Lord before speaking.

Prayer:

Please help me, God, to use good judgement in choosing when and where

to speak my mind.

HEART

Let not mercy and truth forsake thee:

bind them about thy neck; write them

upon the table of thine heart.

Proverbs 3:3

Meditation:

If my heart were a pillow, what words might be embroidered on it?

Affirmation:

Mercy and truth are my daily fare by the grace of God.

Prayer:

I am in awe of you, Lord God, for your creations--truth and mercy.

HEART

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide

my commandments with thee; so that thou incline

thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to

understanding...then shalt thou understand the fear

of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

Proverbs 2: 1-2,5

Meditation:

What engages my heart energy most of the day?

Affirmation:

I apply my heart energy to understanding God's ways.

Prayer:

I pray, Lord God, for the heart to acknowledge you in all your ways.
