The wicked have drawn out the sword, and
have bent their bow, to cast down the poor

conversation. Their sword shall enter into their

What responsibility do I take for the condition of my own heart?

Affirmation:
Today I guard my heart by guarding my thoughts.

Prayer:
Thank you God, for your unchangeable laws regarding the behavior of your children.

God, may I feel your saving presence throughout my heart and spirit today.

God is the source of my gladness.

Father God, I confess and repent of my selfishness in seeking after gladness and schemes
that I hope will make me glad, instead of seeking you.

Affirmation:
My work is in the service of God; and I do it with all my heart.

Prayer:
May I find you in my work, Lord; and may I seek you wholeheartedly there.
