Luke 1:46,47

And Mary said, my soul doth magnify the Lord,

and my spirit hath rejoiced in God, my Savior.

Meditation:

How do I express the joy that I have in God?

Affirmation:

My joy increases as I love God today.

Prayer:

Thank you God, for the benefit of Mary's example to the world, and to me.

Luke 1:17

And he (John the Baptist) shall go before him in the

spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the

fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the

wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared

for the Lord.

Meditation:

I will list my concerns for my children today and then seek the Holy Spirit.

Affirmation:

Right relationships ready me for the Lord.

Prayer:

Thank you, God, for preparing a way for parents to love their children

through the Way of Christ Jesus.

Mark 16:14

Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat

at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief

and hardness of heart, because they believed not them

which had seen him after he was risen.

Meditation:

How do I feel when I believe that Christ has risen?

Affirmation:

Today I soften my heart by believing in the resurrection of Christ Jesus.

Prayer:

Merciful God, I confess times and places where my heart has been hard

towards you and towards others. I pray that you would touch my heart with

more believing in the risen Christ.

Mark 8:37

Or what shall a man give in exchange

for his soul?

Meditation:

Can I imagine my soul as having value? What value?

Affirmation:

Living a soulful life today is my gift to God.

Prayer:

May my soul magnify you, Redeemer and Friend.

Matthew 6:20-21

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,

where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt,

and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Meditation:

Which of my possessions do I value the most and why?

Affirmation:

My heart is full of treasure.

Prayer:

Lord God, I confess that I have valued material things above spiritual gifts;

and so, I seek healing and mercy from the treasure house of your grace.

Mark 5:15

And they come to Jesus, and see him that

was possessed with the devil, and had the legion,

sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind:

and they were afraid.

Meditation:

Am I willing to believe that faith in the Lord Jesus can

restore people to sanity?

Affirmation:

My mind is healed in Christ Jesus.

Prayer:

What a wonderful miracle you worked with the man who was

possessed, through your son Jesus, dear God our Healer and our Creator.

Matthew 22:37-38

Jesus said unto him (a lawyer) thou shalt

love the Lord thy God with all thy heart

and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

Meditation:

Do I know that all my loving is for God?

Affirmation:

Today with my mind and soul I love God.

Prayer:

May I be present enough in all my moments to be clear about

loving you, dear Lord.
