HEART

I cried with my whole heart;

God hears the cries of my heart.

Prayer:

I admit, Lord God, to longings which run deep and which serve to avoid the true depth

of my need for you.

HEART

I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way.

O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk

within my house with a perfect heart.

Heart, house, home--are these all surrendered to Christ Jesus?

Affirmation:

When the Lord is present for me, my heart and home are more perfect.

Prayer:

I long for your presence here, Lord God, in my house and in my heart. Come quickly.

HEART

Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk

in thy truth: unite my heart to fear

thy name.

What truth is God showing me recently, that I must learn to walk within?

Affirmation:

A teachable heart is united with God.

Prayer:

I praise you, Lord God, as the ultimate teacher of everything I could

ever need to know.

SOUL

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for

the courts of the Lord: my heart and flesh

crieth out for the living God.

Psalms 84:2

Today, how can I meet my need for the courts of the Lord?

Affirmation:

Today I will take definite action to seek the living God.

Prayer:

I cry to you, Breath of Life, for the experience of your presence.

SOUL

Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord

is with them that uphold my soul.

Have I recently felt God's hand through the touch of another person who enlivens my soul?

Affirmation:

I choose life-affirming friends today.

Prayer:

Thank you so much, my dear Lord, for the friends who enliven my soul.

HEART

For our heart shall rejoice in him because

we have trusted in his holy name.

Psalm 33:21

Meditation:

Where am I putting my trust today?

Affirmation:

I trust the Spirit that is Christ Jesus; and my heart is free.

Prayer:

Thank you, God, that because of their trust in you, the

hearts of all believers are as one heart.

SOUL

He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned,

and perverted that which was right, and it profited me

not; he will deliver his soul from going into the pit,

and his life shall see the light.

Job 33:27,28

Meditation:

Is there unconfessed sin dragging me down today?

Affirmation:

I admit to God my wrong doing and my wrong thinking.

Prayer:

Lord God, please continue to chasten and guide me and to hear my

confession, so that my soul will see the light.
