Meditation:
What work of which people is my mind eager to join and why?


Affirmation:
My mind and my work and my people are surrendered to God.


Prayer:
I confess now, Father, that my mind is often preoccupied with seeking my
own comfort. Have mercy on my mind, in Jesus' Name.

Meditation:
Will I use my imagination to think of awesome moments in God's
relationship with his people?


Affirmation:
With my heart I ponder the great acts of faith recorded in holy scripture.


Prayer:
Lord God, I pray that you would prepare my heart to receive more of your
truth.

Meditation:
How is the God I serve the same or different from the God my earthly father
has served?


Affirmation:
My mind is open and available to the God of my understanding.


Prayer:
I confess to you, God Almighty, any confusion I may have regarding authority figures
in my life, and I confess any misguided service to these authorities.

Do I pray often for others to know and to love God?

I praise you, Lord, that you have the power to turn hearts to back to you
when they have strayed.

How highly do I value the gift of an understanding heart?

The riches of an understanding heart are God's to give.

I praise you Father God for the riches you pour out to your beloved people.

Today I will set my mind on the desires of God's people.


Prayer:
God, my redeemer and my friend, I pray that you would relieve me from
focusing my losses.

Am I willing to make my heart completely vulnerable to God's saving action today?


Affirmation:
My heart's desire is to love God completely.

Thank you, Lord God, for the changes you will make in all of us, so that we can
love you with our whole hearts.
