Meditation:
What is my human response to the justice of God?

Affirmation:
My heart responds to God.

Prayer:
My heart is calling to you, God, for mercy in your Judgement Day.

own heart, this man's religion is vain.


Meditation:
What works best for me in restraining my tongue?

Affirmation:
The truth of my faith is in my mouth today.

Prayer:
In your presence, Oh Lord, I repent wholeheartedly of misspoken,
unkind words.

Hebrews 12:3



For consider him that endured such
contradiction of sinners against himself,
lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.


Meditation:
Is my mind weary of hearing the assertions of falsehood? Will I recall the
mighty endurance of the Lord when sinners spoke against him?

Affirmation:
I think of the Lord's endurance and so strengthen my mind.

Prayer:
Father God, thank you for showing me Jesus and so caring for
my mind.

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any
man draw back, my soul shall have no
pleasure in him.


Meditation:
Can I remember a time recently when I felt God's pleasure in my life?

Affirmation:
My faith is growing for God's pleasure.

Prayer:
Dear God, I confess the doubts of my mind which have cut me off
from your pleasure; and I return my mind to you now.

if ye will hear his voice, harden not your
hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of
temptation in the wilderness...


Meditation:
Am I hoping to hear the voice of God in my heart today?

Affirmation:
I am listening for God.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, please help me to be aware of any hardness in my
attitude today; then may I confess to you my Friend.
