SOUL

And Hamor communed with them, saying,

The soul of my son Shechem longeth for

your daughter: I pray you give her to wife.

Meditation:

What or whom is my soul longing for today? Have I surrendered this

longing to God?

Affirmation:

I surrender all my desires to God.

Prayer:

Merciful Lord, please inspire me with a longing only for your will.

HEART

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be

ready always to give an answer to every man that

asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with

meekness and fear.

1 Peter 3:15

Meditation:

Do I set an example of hope?

Affirmation:

My heart is a sanctuary for God, and I am ready to speak of Him.

Prayer:

I confess, Lord God, that I have at times been insensitive to another's need for

my testimony and too timid to speak for you when I know that I should.
