MIND

And Esau was forty years old when he took to

wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite,

and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:

which were a grief of mind to Isaac and Rebekah.

Meditation:

Is my mind grieved or worried today about any of my in-laws?

Affirmation:

I accept and affirm my family connections as part of God's plan.

Prayer:

Thank you God for the story of Isaac and Rebekah; may I live humbly

in relation to your plan for my family.

MIND

And the second time the cock crew. And Peter

called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him,

Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me

thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

Meditation:

Will I follow Peter's example and actively call to mind the personal truths

Jesus has revealed to me? Do I have the will to remember?

Affirmation:

I remember the conviction which led me to repentance.

Prayer:

God, my Father, thank you for the tears of Saint Peter. I pray

that you would strengthen my heart and mind to face the pain of my sins, so

that I will stay on the path with Jesus.

MIND

(There are ten kings that)...have one mind, and shall

give their power to the beast. These shall make war

with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them:

for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that

are with Him are called and chosen, and faithful.

Revelations 17:13,14

Meditation:

Have I ever experienced the power of minds working together for a

negative purpose or with a negative result?

Affirmation:

I give my thoughts and my power wholly to the King of kings.

Prayer:

Mighty God, I entreat you; may I cling to the Lord Jesus when threatened

or tempted by powerful destructive thoughts or thinkers.

SOUL

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying

the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love

of the brethren, see that ye love one another

with a pure heart fervently.

1 Peter:22

Meditation:

Have I feigned love for someone recently? What was my motive?

Affirmation:

The Spirit of God is purifying my love and my soul.

Prayer:

For your endless love, my Father, and for your powerful Spirit, I want

to glorify you. I am in awe of how you offer love to your whole creation

and embrace each part with your tender mercy.

SOUL

My son ... keep sound wisdom and discretion:

so shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace

to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy

way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.

Proverbs 3: 21,22,23

Meditation:

What have I substituted for wisdom and discretion in hopes of living

fully and safely?

Affirmation:

Wisdom and care guard and enliven me.

Prayer:

God, I am sorry for the times that I have gone off on my own way

disregarding the wisdom and grace which you have shown me. Thank you for

bringing me back and loving me anyway.

SOUL

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them

that fear him, upon them that hope in his

mercy; To deliver their soul from death...

Psalms 33:18,19

Meditation:

How is the vitality of my soul today?

Affirmation:

My hope is God's mercy.

Prayer:

Merciful God, please lead me to the hope which is centered in you,

and bring my soul once more back to life.

SOUL

Wherefore do you spend money for that which

is not bread? and your labour for that which

satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me,

and eat ye that which is good, and let your

soul delight in fatness.

Isaiah 55:2

Meditation:

Do I hold to a simple and wholesome regime?

Affirmation:

I want the goodness that God wants for me.

Prayer:

Lord, please help me to want what's good for me and to not want what's not good for me.
