What responsibility do I take for the condition of my own heart?

Affirmation:
Today I guard my heart by guarding my thoughts.

Prayer:
Thank you God, for your unchangeable laws regarding the behavior of your children.

God, may I feel your saving presence throughout my heart and spirit today.

Am I trying to increase my own gladness by increasing my possessions?

Affirmation:
God is the source of my gladness.

Prayer:
Father God, I confess and repent of my selfishness in seeking after gladness and schemes
that I hope will make me glad, instead of seeking you.

May I find you in my work, Lord; and may I seek you wholeheartedly there.
