Jeremiah 51:50

Ye that have escaped the sword, go away,

stand not still: remember the LORD afar off,

and let Jerusalem come into your mind.

Meditation:

From what have I escaped; what action am I taking in response; what do I know of the city set on a hill?

Affirmation:

I envision the Holy City.

Prayer:

Good God, in order to seek you, I move in my mind towards sacred images

of hope and beauty.

Jeremiah 44:21

The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah,

and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings,

and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the Lord

remember them, and came it not into his mind?

Meditation:

Let me remember and consider that there are a vast number of

people of all nations and of all occupations, praying at all times.

Affirmation:

The mind of God retains the prayers of His people.

Prayer:

Lord, what a peace you give to me when I remember that you have

the past, present, and future, and all the prayers of your people in your Mind.

Jeremiah 31:12

Therefore, they shall come and sing in the height of

Zion, and shall flow together in the goodness of the Lord...

and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they

shall not sorrow any more at all.

Meditation:

Do I thirst for the watered garden of the Lord's goodness?

Affirmation:

I enjoy the heights of worship and coming together with others.

Prayer:

Thank you, God, for all worshipful songs that bring

people together within goodness.

Isaiah 26:3

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,

whose mind is stayed on thee:

because he trusteth in thee.

Meditation:

How will I keep my mind focused on God today?

Affirmation:

Trusting God gives me peace.

Prayer:

I praise you, Lord of All, for the dwelling place of peace which you have

created in the minds of your children.

Ecclesiastes 9:1

For all this I considered in my heart even to

declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise,

and their works are in the hand of God...

Meditation:

Will I stop to think today about the good in the world and God's

hand in it?

Affirmation:

I trust that God is working through people.

Prayer:

Lord, I now take time with my heart to ponder and to praise you for the

miraculous ways you are working in the world through many wise and careful

people.

Isaiah 42:1

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect,

in whom my soul delighteth, I have put my spirit

upon him: he shall bring forth judgement to the Gentiles.

Meditation:

How would my life change if I believed that its purpose is to give God

delight?

Affirmation:

Today I offer my present to God for His delight.

Prayer:

God, please show me the areas of my life which could delight you more,

if I would give them more attention.

Proverbs 21:28

The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination:

how much more, when he bringeth it with

a wicked mind?

Meditation:

When my thoughts are full of harm, is this the time to do service?

Affirmation:

Prayer life produces true gifts.

Prayer:

Thank you God, for bringing me to to your presence where all

gifts originate.
